A March Snowstorm & I'm Lost In A World of Stained Glass
Yet another in a series of late season snow storms rolled through Chicago. I was suffering cabin fever and had to get out of the house. So I braved the storm and went down to Navy Pier for a return to the Smith Museum. They have dozens, more than a hundred magnificent pieces of art glass. And it should be no surprise that someone who likes neon would also be attracted to these beautiful works of art.
Here is some of what I saw. The storm outside. What happened to the tall buildings?
Inside works by Ed Paschke, Louis Comfort Tiffany and others. All and all it was a great way to spend a couple of hours. And the best part, besides being free is your right next to a Billy Goat's so after perusing the art for awhile you have a place to satisfy your thirst and or hunger.
